Lovely cottage in a great location. Quiet, peaceful village. We loved sitting in the private garden with a glass of wine listening to the birds and watching all the butterflies. Cottage is small but comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing week.

The property is advertised as 2 bedrooms but the bunk room is on the landing at the top of very steep stairs and you have to walk through this to get to the main bedroom (so not a separate bedroom and at the top of very steep stairs so not suitable for children/elderly people). There are smoke alarms but the windows upstairs are not big enough to get out of should there be a fire and the only way out is through the front door (no back door) which didn't feel particularly safe. The TV in the lounge is a portable TV that you'd normally have in a bedroom so not the best for watching TV of an evening, and there are several extension wires and cables running throughout the lounge. The garden is nice and big but there are only 2 loungers, it would have been nice to have a table and chairs to sit out and eat/drink at.The washing machine and dryer are in an outhouse - we didn't need to use either but the washing machine had a dirty towel hanging out.Whilst I understand the property is grade 2 listed which limits what can be done I do feel the property requires a health and safety inspection and some upgrading and I have raised this with cottages.com.We did try to change properties due to the above but there were no suitable alternatives and as we had plans we had to stay, but we left a day early and received a refund for this from cottages.com
