New Harboro Farm is an utterly wonderful old farm house that provides a superb holiday retreat with a magnificent lounge and dining room, superb dining kitchen, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and even two log burning stoves. Totally refurbished with designer decor and furnishings it just oozes quality throughout all its spacious accommodation.

It is set in its own secret valley with fields all around but the High Peak Trail for walkers and cyclists is close by. Carsington Water with its wild water sports, cycle trails and birdwatching is just over the hill. The lovely historic town of Wirksworth with heritage railway, heritage trail, Northern Lights little cinema and many a pub and restaurant is just five minutes' drive away.

There are also lots of other Peak District attractions in the surrounding hills. Matlock Bath with its cable cars and riverside prom is not to be missed. Magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just up the Derwent Valley. Venture beyond famous Bakewell and you are in the real Peaks with sparkling rivers, picturesque villages, incredible views from the grit stone edges and country pubs galore.

A cosy snug with bed settee (£25 charged extra per person per booking), chair, T.V. Freeview, Netflix, log burning stove and door to the stone flagged patio. An adjoining dining room with lovely pine table, chairs and sideboard. An extremely well fitted dining kitchen with table and chairs, quality units, double Belfast sink, range cooker, microwave, larder fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A utility room with Belfast sink and automatic washer/dryer. A fantastic master bedroom with super-king size bed (zip and link twin beds), chair and en-suite shower room with W.C. Two other brilliant super king-size double bedrooms, one with an en-suite W.C. A king-size double bedroom. A smaller bunk bedroom with large bunks. A family bathroom with bath/hand held shower and W.C. A shower room with W.C. A downstairs wet room with shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, underfloor heating, power and logs for the stoves are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a stone flagged patio with furniture and lawned garden surrounded by fields. Ample parking is available. Pets and smoking in the cottage are not permitted. Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year.
