This lovely detached cottage is in the stunning village of Baslow in the Peak District which is within walking distance of Chatsworth House. The cottage is very welcoming with comfortable rooms and great countryside views towards Chatsworth from the first floor. With flexible accommodation, the property is suitable for a variety of different groups with great days out available in the area. The sitting room has a sofa bed and a lovely multi-fuel stove set within an exposed stone wall. The kitchen has a breakfast bar to seat two and there is an additional dining room with space for the whole group to enjoy evening meals together. For the children, there is a small study/playroom which is a fantastic place for them to play games and have their own space. On the first floor are the three bedrooms,a king-size double, a double and a twin which provides the extra flexibility of being a super king-size double on request. Outside there is a mature garden with lawned areas and pathways which is an ideal spot to enjoy a peaceful morning cup of tea. The pretty village of Baslow has some of the best gastro pubs in the area and a village shop which makes this an ideal base. Nearby are the brilliant attractions of Chatsworth House, the town of Bakewell and the many activities which the Peak District has to offer such as walking, caving, rock climbing, cycling and horse riding. By continuing up Bar Road, on which the cottage is located, you have direct access to the eastern edges on Big Moor, including Baslow Edge, Curbar Edge and to the southern part of the Peak District’s iconic Dark Peak landscape. If you fancy a thrilling family day then Alton Towers is only an hour's drive away. Hawkfield is a stunning cottage which will not disappoint.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants.

When more than regular weekly cleaning is needed upon guests and their pets departure, we reserve the right to request up to £100 to cover cleaning costs.

Outdoors, the garden has a low wall in some parts, which means that it is not secure for pets to be left outside unattended.
