A cosy cottage located close to Chatsworth and the River Derwent in the sought after village of Baslow. The property is on the edge of Chatsworth Park with wonderful views right from the doorstep. The central village location of this cottage makes it ideal for those seeking a countryside village retreat. The popular village of Baslow has exceptional amenities, from award winning restaurants (including one Michelin starred) to quaint little shops. Just a short walk across a bridge and guests will find themselves in the expansive parklands of Chatsworth House. Alternatively, for the more energetic, a walk up through the village leads up on to the top of Baslow Edge for commanding views of the Derwent Valley. The market town of Bakewell is only a 10 minute drive away. This three bedroom cottage is filled with charm and character throughout. Spread across three floors, the exposed beams of the property provide a lovely sense of space and warmth. Downstairs the dining room boasts a gritstone fireplace and an open archway which leads through to the galley kitchen and all the essentials for attempting a Michelin style meal. The sitting room is at the rear of the cottage with a wood burner providing a central feature to the room and ample warmth on winter nights. On the first floor there are two bedrooms; one double bed and one with a single bed. The main bathroom is also located on this floor and consists of a bath with electric shower over, toilet and hand basin. Upstairs the spacious main bedroom extends into the eaves of the cottage, with an en suite bathroom and king size bed. The bright bedroom has a Velux window offering a glimpse of Chatsworth Park. Outside there is a rear yard ( access shared by neighbouring cottages) with patio seating, there is a bench at the front of the cottage which is a lovely spot for watching the world go by. Need to know: Three bedrooms: one king size bedroom, one double bedroom, one single bedroom. Two bathrooms. Roadside parking nearby subject to availability with convenient additional parking for 2nd vehicles 50m away in the public car park. Internet access. Wood burner (first basket of logs provided) October to April. Fridge with freezer compartment. Electric oven and induction hob. Microwave. Dishwasher. Washing machine. Smart TV/DVD. Travel cot and high chair available. Garden furniture in back yard in the summer months. This property will be decorated for Christmas. Arrival: 16:00 onwards. Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival detaild. Sorry, no dogs or other pets allowed.
