Park up in an off-road space before descending down the steps to reach the entrance of your holiday home. Step inside to discover the contemporary kitchen, with stylish deep blue cupboards housing an electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer as well as a dishwasher for a fuss-free clean. Moving through the property you will find a dining room with a social space for pre-dinner drinks, and a dining table to tuck-into a feast, afterwards, why not unwind in the cosy sitting room where an electric wood burning stove will keep you warm and choose between the Smart TV and record player for your entertainment. After a day exploring the sights of Derbyshire, the utility / drying room, conveniently located in the rear courtyard offers space to freshen up your clothes with a washing machine, tumble dryer and airer. Steps up to the garden unlock the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside that can be enjoyed from the open terrace, or alternatively relax in the garden room and enjoy the views from there. At the end of the evening, head inside and retire to bed choosing between the two delightful double bedrooms both with storage, TV’s and bedside lamps for a spot of night-time reading. Awaken tired eyes in the generous sized shower or indulge in a bubble-bath before joining your guests in the dining room for a hearty breakfast. A short stroll will lead you to a plethora of eateries for when you fancy a break from the kitchen and afterwards maybe browse the quaint boutiques. The cottage has absolutely everything you could need. a brilliant location with a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Good communication from the owners too.

  • Chloe

Very clean, well decorated, and has all the amenities needed. Communication with Nicola was easy and she clearly cares about ensuring a good experience - the lovely basket of wine and treats was an example of this and was very well received by ourselves and our two boys. The beds were comfy and despite the house sitting on a main road, the glazing ensured absolutely no issues with road noise - it was actually very quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property!

No mention of the A6 being within 6 feet of the beds and no photos show of the proximity of the road.! The awkwardness of the steps at the rear, and the complications of collecting/returning a single house key should merit a mention for elderly guests. We feel these comments are relevant to Sykes's advertising the cottage .
