However, the property is in need of some redecorating in places and was not particularly well-cleaned on our arrival, especially the kitchen/oven/fridge. The bottom oven did not work at all and my email regarding this has not been replied to by your company (neither was a previous one I sent with regard to extending our stay). The tap in the kitchen often fell off as did one of the bottom outside boards on one of the cupboards. There is insufficient cutlery (forks). The shower is tricky to use - there is a very fine line between extremely hot and freezing cold and water leaks out of the back of the shower head. The shower is positioned in the narrowest part of the bath and causes extreme condensation as there is no fan in the bathroom. Generally, there is a lot of condensation on the cottage windows. The parking situation is very tight for two cars, especially as it is advisable to reverse park due to the regularly busy traffic when wishing to drive out. The area outside the cottage is covered in foliage and therefore very slippy after rain or frost. The downstairs area is comfortable and cozy (living & dining room) and the bedrooms are well-sized, with comfortable beds.

The cottage is in a very central location so you can walk everywhere in the town easily. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bedding is of a high quality and mattresses are very comfortable. Highly recommend. Thank you

It’s fair to say after reading some recent reviews we were a bit concerned what we would find, however we found The Belle well appointed and had everything we needed, including good heating, which was very welcome as we had the first snow of the year whilst staying. Yes, it’s an old house and there will always be odd bits of maintenance here and there (we live in a very old house ourselves, so know what it can be like), however the house was clean and well presented. It was easy to find, just follow the instructions given in the welcome email. The only addition would be instructions for the tv, we just about worked out how to access the normal tv channels! Apart from that a great stay and to be fair did not spoil our stay. Thanks, we will be back!
