Alton Towers, the UK's most popular theme park, is just a short drive away from the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. Stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are just a few of the many that can be visited, as are the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and the resting place of Little John in Hathersage. The electrics also need to be addressed due to the fact when you put cooker on the lights dimmed and as you turned more appliances on the lights dimmed even more.The place was full of flys especially in the windows and on the ceilings, especially as we were in October and i know the cowshed was directly in front of the property but even stillâ¦..The walls looked as if they had damp especially to the front of the property. The cottages were in an excellent spot to use as a jumping off point and the views were breathtaking.Teddy our dog even loved to see the goats every morning and evening. The kitchen utensils were something to be desired as we used more out of our campervan as there werenât enough in the kitchen.We wouldnât recommend this cottage to be honest.

And a Basket with some Teabags, Coffee and Biscuits. Thank you. We bought lovely eggs from there. My only thought is. I have mobility issues and would have been nice for a hand rail on the wall just outside the shower on the right, as it was a bit high for me and this would have helped and made it possible for me to have a shower. It would have been lovely if it was a wet room, as plenty of space.

I think the property requires an update however there are not many properties accepting three dogs which was good
