As you arrive at Rock Terrace take in the views you have from the property, then step through the door into the cosy sitting room with gas fire, TV and comfortable seating. Upstairs to the first floor is the kitchen, equipped with electric oven, fridge and microwave and a dining table that sits within the window so you can enjoy the Peak District landscape while eating your morning toast. The bathroom is also located on the first floor with a shower over the bath. Head to the second floor where the bedroom awaits, with super kingsize bed and fresh comfortable linen making it a perfect to unwind and enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
Take a stroll for a few minutes downhill and you are in Bakewell town centre, one of the Peak’s most known areas and home to the Bakewell Pudding. There are many independent shops, cafés, bakeries, pubs and restaurants to visit, or why not grab some chips and enjoy them by the riverside? Chatsworth House is very close to Bakewell, where you can buy a ticket to explore the house and gardens, making a great day out. You are spoilt for walks but the closest is the Monsal Trail; you can hop on to this from Bakewell so you won’t even need to take out the car, but if you are happy to, there are many other things to do within just a few miles.

The view over the town and countryside is the best feature of this cottage. Internally it is a bit tired, and the stairs between the three rooms are very steep, the exterior lacks charm. It is a nice walk down past the church to the town centre. Very grateful for the parking pass, and we were able to find a park close by each day.

This is a great little property with a rather unique layout. The ground floor consists of just the living room which is comfortably kitted out with an armchair, two small sofas, a couple of storage units, and a TV. The middle floor contains the bathroom and a great little kitchen that contains everything you need for that home from home experience although I would have preferred a washing machine instead of a dishwasher. The top floor consists of a large bedroom with plenty of storage and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.The views from all the windows are absolutely stunning but only made possible by the property being at the top of a very steep hill that is definitely not meant to be walked up! The stairs in the property are quite steep too and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a lovely property set in a fantastic little town in the Peak District.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was just right for the two of us. We were happy with every aspect of the accommodation inc its location which was convenient for the town centre.Only one thing in the description i noticed was it said a super king size bed. We have one of those and the one here is not a super king but a king size. Not a problem though.It was a great few days overall.Thank you.
