The cottage is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, with guests mentioning snug bedrooms and a warm atmosphere. However, the mention of a single ground floor toilet suggests a slight inconvenience for some.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped for self-catering and relaxation. Some minor feedback about the lack of certain items and initial supplies indicates room for improvement.
While the reviews reflect positive experiences and mention helpful information provided by the owners, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

A comfortable, snug cottage in beautiful surroundings. Great area for walking. Cottage had all we needed. The owner was clear with her instructions and the facilities for the cottage were set down on an ipad. The Christmas markets in nearby Bakewell and Chatsworth were great. Local stalls selling a variety local produce at reasonable prices. A lovely few days away, in spite of the weather.

The cottage looks like it has recently been refurbished - it's recently painted, clean and bright. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches (a drying rack above the bath, great for very rainy days) and the paintings of the area (looked like they may be by local artists?). It was comfortable and warm. If you like dining outside and prefer some privacy, you may find the proximity to the road and passersby a bit intrusive, but if you enjoy the social feel - and the lovely view - then it'll suit very well. Many thanks

Village is friendly and has good facilities. Would particularly recommend the Fountain House for good Italian Bistro and excellent bread.Easy walking to Hadden Hall.
