Why not relax on the furniture outside, ideal for a moment or two taking in the location, or stroll into Bakewell, perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, while Alton Towers, Britains premier theme park, is only a short drive away. Not forgetting the many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. All you need for a memorable getaway.

Bakewell sits in the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring the area. The Dark Peak and The White Peak are within reach, as well as Alton Towers. Location was excellent although the parking for a large car was a bit tight but manageable. We would certainly book Rock Cottage again on our next trip to Bakewell. Thank you Alistair and Caroline

A few minutes walk and you are in the centre of Bakewell plus a forty minute walk direct from the cottage and you are in Ashford in the water. I also walked direct from the cottage to Haddon Hall. Six minute drive to Lathkill Dale and Youlgreave. Wasn't keen on the parking but better than being on street. A couple of windows in the bathroom need sorting but overall the cottage is great and I would certainly choose to return there.

The owners provide a peaceful and relaxing place to unwind and recharge the batteries. The parking space right opposite the cottage is very useful. We sat outside in the sunshine on the chairs provided and enjoyed our coffee.
