Super little cottage in a lovely quaint Derbyshire village. Judith, the owner, was very hospitable and helpful.Great location for visiting the local attractions with most being no more than a 30 minute drive.

The right cottage, just not for the first very wet week of December. Underfloor heating was nice, if difficult to programme. But drying soaked hiking gear was problematic. Similarly without radiator or heated towel rail the bathroom was hard work. Lighting throughout was poor if you wanted to read/ cook/ shave. The roofing construction work next door was an unlucky intrusion given we had tried to select a quiet location. Finally as an older person I would have preferred a traditional table and chairs at which to eat, rather than an elevated bar stool. So, nice property, but not for me. Sorry.

Lovely tranquil weekend, cottage was quirky in a good way, and had character. Lots of places to visit within a half hour drive or further a field if you so desire. Judith was the host and lives in the next property, she was very welcoming and friendly. Overall a pleasant visit.
