Cloud View Cottage is praised for its superb location, offering easy access to local walks and attractions, and its cleanliness, with several guests mentioning a spotless arrival. The property is described as comfortable, with a particularly appreciated conservatory, and is considered good value for money. While some guests suggest updates and additional kitchen equipment, the overall experience is positive, with thoughtful touches like scones and a welcoming atmosphere.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most reviews highlight the property as clean, especially upon arrival, with mentions of spotlessness and thoughtful touches. However, there is a significant negative review detailing cleanliness issues throughout the property, which impacts the score.

The location is consistently praised for its peace, proximity to walking trails, and beautiful surroundings. Guests appreciate the quiet village setting and the ease of access to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a child-friendly garden and ample space. However, some reviews mention that the cottage can be spartan, with inadequate seating for the number of guests and some beds being uncomfortable, which affects the score.

While the property is appreciated for its space and some modern amenities like a dishwasher, several reviews suggest that the kitchen equipment, appliances, and bathroom fittings need updating or replacing, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several guests mentioning the provision of scones, chocolate cake, and other treats upon arrival. While these gestures are well-received, it is noted that such gifts are a kind bonus and not guaranteed.

Spacious, welcoming accomodation providing all the facilities that are needed away from home. Great for our 4 legged friend. Would highly recommend!

However, beds hard, especially double bed and plastic sheets uncomfortable. Pans were not clean and big pan rusty. Couldn't see how fire in living room worked but would have made the room cosier. Couldn't get the TV to work for current channels- could only watch Prime videos without paying. Some information and instructions for the TV would have been useful.

Very well equipped, comfortable and a bonus were the views from the back of the house. Great hot tubs again with good views. We had a great week at Hillcrest House and would book again.
