Sutton is a picturesque village at the eastern end of Sutton Broad, just south of the market town of Stalham, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The local pub is the Sutton Saithe Hotel, set beside the River Ant, which flows downstream to Barton Broad, How Hill and Ludham Bridge, through some of the most beautiful Norfolk Broads scenery, and there is a garden centre and a pottery in the village. At nearby Stalham is the popular Museum of the Broads. Just outside the village is Sutton Mill, a restored 18th-century windmill which rises to a remarkable 9 stories in height. Norwich lies further afield, a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complementing the other. Like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and boasts a river at its heart.

The sensor for light on stairs needs changing to only come on when person detected.

Very nicely presented. Both bedrooms and en suites were large with plenty of storage. The shower cubicles were great! The owners were very welcoming, and also ran a lovely ice cream shop, cafe and pottery outlet. Lots of sheep, goats, hens and peacocks, and some very friendly farm cats. There was also a large seating area behind the cafe with beautiful views over the countryside, plus a children’s play area. Very enjoyable holiday.

Lovely accommodation and spotless, the owners were great and couldn’t do enough for us. Loved all the animals especially the cats and such a beautiful location. Would definitely go back- there’s still so many flavours of ice cream to try!!!
