Numerous moorland paths and networking footpaths are accessible from the Sutton area. The Peak District bike hubs of Tissington or the High Peak Trail, as well as several difficult hill climbs, provide excellent facilities for cyclists. There are various family-friendly pubs close by, and Macclesfield, Congleton, and Buxton are all easily accessible from Sutton. This is a fantastic Peak District base because the rest of the Peak District National Park is easily accessible, and there are many ancient homes, charming villages, the Alton Towers theme park, and other attractions nearby.

Added bonus for my wife who works on a farm and is a farm nut that it is on the grounds of a working farm so close proximity to the animals and we enjoyed meeting most of them on our walks. Cottage is very well designed and furnished inside, very warm due to the aga and gives you a proper farmhouse cottage feel. Lovely homely kitchen and great bathroom. The owners couldnât have been more welcoming and accommodating, already booked back up for a winter visit next year.
