Popular nearby routes include the hike to the summit of Pendle Hill, the waterside tracks and trails at Ingleton Falls, and the woodland rambles at Skipton Castle Woods (all within 20 miles). For a spot of retail therapy, journey into the historic market town of Clitheroe (11 miles) to potter amongst its independent boutiques and browse the bustling outdoor markets. History enthusiasts will also be interested to visit the ruins of Clitheroe Castle, which is thought to be the smallest Norman castle in England.
