The town also has a railway station, which offers an easy alternative for travelling into nearby Blackpool. The popular seaside resort of Blackpool about 7 minutes away. It has an abundance of attractions to visit such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Madame Tussauds, the famous Blackpool Tower, Sealife Centre and numerous amusement arcades. Blackpool’s illuminations take place annually from September until the beginning of November and are a delight for all ages.
Other popular days out within the region include Fleetwood, just 6 miles away, home to freeport outlet shopping village, and Lytham St Annes is also just a short drive away. Slightly further afield, the hidden gems of the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are just 30 miles away, offering an abundance of scenic rural walks and local country pubs and restaurants. Nice, mainly upstairs apartment (kitchen downstairs) clean and with all facilities needed, inc 3 tvs , the lounge with Sky plus other channels. Bus stop just outside with easy access to Poulton and Blackpool.A nice steakhouse across the road plus another one with sky sports just half a mile away. There are also a Coop plus garage and take seats there also.We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic, everything you could need, great location, bus stop right outside if you want a rest from driving, very spacious and lovely and clean , we can not fault anything at highcross, highly recommend to anyone ***
