Guests say

The Boot Room in Cumbria & The Lake District receives high praise for its cosy charm, spaciousness, and well-kept gardens. Guests appreciate the fully equipped property, comfortable bedrooms, and ample parking. The inclusion of a sauna and table tennis table adds to the appeal, although some guests suggest minor improvements. The hosts are commended for their welcoming nature and thoughtful touches, such as homemade biscuits and fresh flowers.

Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean', 'extremely clean', and 'well maintained'. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The property's location is frequently highlighted as beautiful and peaceful, with scenic walks and views. Its proximity to local amenities and attractions in the Ribble Valley enhances its appeal, although one review mentioned difficulty with mobile signal in the area.

The comfort of The Boot Room is well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the property warm. However, some guests noted that the sofas and one of the beds were worn or uneven, which slightly detracted from the overall comfort.

Facilities such as the sauna, steam room, and well-equipped kitchen are praised, but there are mentions of worn sofas and a need for a new kettle. The property's maintenance is generally good, though some guests suggest that certain items could be updated.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the numerous mentions of welcome gifts like homemade scones, biscuits, and fresh flowers. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Such a beautiful place, very relaxing, and very comfortable, the photos online looked fab but once you are there is when you really appreciate just how beautiful it is! The place itself was very easy to find, just popped the postcode into Google Maps and drove straight there! Plenty of parking space and privacy being set back from the road, and the gate made it very secure for our dog to roam. Had a very warm welcome from the manager Caroline along with a lovely welcome card and the most amazing flapjack! (and not forgetting the crisps to which I became a fan of and soon found out you can purchase from the local Booths!). The Boot Room is attached to the owners main property which overlooks the courtyard area however they had blinds which remained closed throughout our stay to give privacy and wasn't an issue. Lots of places not too far away to drive out to and nearest main supermarket (Sainsbury's) less than 10 minutes drive away in Longridge, where there is also Aldi and Booth's. So much thought has gone into The Boot Room, everything is very clean, well presented, very comfortable beds, and well stocked with all that you may need for your stay. Thank You to the owners Janet & John for sharing part of their beautiful estate, I will also miss the view of their gorgeous gardens from the bigger bedroom! They were also on hand along with Caroline if we needed anything at all, but not at all intrusive. Thank You to you all for a wonderful, relaxing stay, we hope to return again in the future!

Comfortable and excellent for the the dog. Appreciated the hose pipe to help with the mud and the large entry room to towel her. Would prefer a wood burner rather than an open fire (more efficient in the use of logs). Would also prefer a larger kitchen but understand the limitations of the building. Better instructions/signage to find the cottage initially would be really helpful.

The cottage is beautiful. the surrounds amazing. The private fields were a god send for our reactive dog. But the area is that quiet that walks weren't a problem. The owners were very nice and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. We're returning in August and can't wait.
