The cottage was lovely however it was freezing cold even though the heating was on it had obviously been empty for a couple of weeks and was taking time to warm I feel the owner should have ensured that the heating was put on earlier to warm the place up and to make it worse there was a terrible draft from the back door. We had to sit with a duvet covering us, such a shame because it was a lovely place. Also no ordinary TV - no signal. It was also impossible to get hold of the caretaker.

We had a lovely break at Cross House cottage! It was very cosy, well equipped and the beds were really comfortable. We loved the added touch of Christmas decorations, welcome pack and logs left for the fire. The village location is lovely and quiet, just a walk away from Kirkby Lonsdale and short drive from the Lake District.Only marked down a star as there were a lot of cobwebs, it just needs a bit of a more thorough clean. I’d highly recommend for a relaxing holiday!
