About this property

This magnificent, detached house sits in stunning grounds in the village of Chipping, right in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Relax in the Hot Tub and let those high powered jets ease away the stress of daily life. Boasting character features and excellent attention to detail, Mill House is an exemplary escape for up to twelve guests, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. After a day of walking, gather the group in the sitting room, where you can warm up beside the woodburning stove and discuss where to explore next. Carry the conversation into the kitchen, where you can keep the designated chef company as they whip up a hearty feast, utilising the aga cooker, induction hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. On sunny days, barbecue with family on the patio, relaxing on the furniture whilst your canine companion stretches their legs around the extensive lawned garden. Outdoor dining makes summer dining fabulous! Back inside, retreat to the snug and catch up a quiet read or flick through the Smart TV for a film. When it comes to catching your rest, there are six tastefully furnished bedrooms to choose from. Stairs from the living/dining room lead to the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two king-size bedrooms, serviced by a gleaming family bathroom. Stairs from the snug lead to two king-size rooms, one with en-suite shower and the other with en-suite bathroom, whilst there is also a ground-floor twin which appeals to those with limited mobility. When you’re ready to explore, the village of Chipping houses two village stores, a farm shop ideal for grabbing the essentials, three cafés and two pubs where you can enjoy food. Being on the edge of the ancient Forest of Bowland, Chipping boasts many beautiful local walks, so remember your boots! Take off to the valley of the Trough of Bowland, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with dramatic scenery and an amazing spot for a walk, a cycle or a picnic. Further afield lies the market town of Clitheroe, the hustle and bustle of Blackpool and the scenic Lake District National Park, so Mill House provides an excellent base for boxing off the attractions of North West England.

The charming village of Chipping, which is located in the Ribble Valley, is home to a gorgeous church, a spooky inn, and allegedly one of the most continuously used stores in England, which is currently operating as a village store and post office. The Ribble Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a rural haven with breathtaking scenery, a variety of natural habitats, and historical legend. It is a place of almost unmatched peace where both adults and children can enjoy the simple pleasures of being outside without the hustle and bustle of daily life. The nearby town of Clitheroe is renowned for its specialty stores of all kinds, including one that offers over 75 different kinds of sausage! This magnificent setting is a gourmet's paradise with award-winning restaurants and country hotels spread out around the valley and annual events like a number of agricultural exhibitions and day festivals of various types.
