Outside, the enclosed patio is ideal for enjoying a meal in the open air or simply taking a breather with a cup of tea. With off-road parking for one car, you can come and go with ease, though many of Garstang’s highlights are right on the doorstep.

There are  local shops, pubs, bars and restaurants less than 200m and the town’s riverside and canal  pathways easily accessible, which are perfect for a gentle afternoon wander. For days out, you’re well placed. Lancaster and the Trough of Bowland are easily reached by car and offers plenty to get stuck into, from its imposing castle to its lively arts scene and historic streets. The beautiful Lake district national Park is accessible within a 50 minutes drive. Blackpool brings traditional seaside attractions, bright lights and a bit of nostalgic fun, while Morecambe’s sweeping coastline gives you wide-open views and bracing sea air.

The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports. The nearby Millennium Green, an area situated on the western bank of the River Wyre, has actually been designated for wildlife conservation and events in the community. Admire the views over the Bowland Hills before enjoying a visit to the High Street, where you will find plenty of pubs, cafes, and restaurants in which you can enjoy the local hospitality, or visit the Braedens Pony Trekking Centre, which makes for great family days out. The surrounding countryside provides great walking opportunities, whilst the rspb nature reserves at Leighton Moss and Morecambe Bay are well worth a visit. The Trough of Bowland is nearby, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while the many varied delights of Blackpool and Morecambe, as well as the towns of Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and Windermere and the stunning Lake District National Park are all within easy reach, making this a great destination for all the family.
