The property is located in the small hamlet of Whitechapel below Beacon Fell County Park. Close to Garstang and Longridge, gateway towns to the Forest of Bowland designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is ideal for those who love the great outdoors in every season with some of the best walking and cycling opportunities in Lancashire. The area invites you to enjoy birdwatching, fishing and golf too. Whilst the property enjoys a quiet rural location, it is very accessible and there is lots to see and do within easy driving distance.
Approximately 30 minutes away is the bustling market town of Clitheroe with its hilltop castle and nearby Pendle Hill or the university town of Lancaster with its aqueduct and castle. For those who enjoy the seaside, the Fylde Coast, with popular resorts including Blackpool with its piers, pleasure beach and famous tower, and Lytham St Annes, are approximately 30 minutes away also The Lake District can be reached in under an hour and the Yorkshire Dales in just over an hour, making this the ideal touring base. A fantastic first stay at this wonderful cottage. A lovely peaceful location and enjoyed watching the cows and a daily visit from a grouse (or could have been a pheasant). The cottage was superbly clean and extremely comfortable bed and sofas. The kitchen is very well equipped (nice welcome basket) and fantastic shower. It was nice to meet the lovely owners. A wonderful stay and highly recommended, can’t wait to return.
