The cottage is complete with a spacious bathroom, perfect for a revitalising shower before clambering into either a double or single bed to catch your rest ahead of another day of adventures. On the doorstep there is the famous Bluebell Woodland walk where you can expect to observe a variety of birds from robins to swifts as you take a wander along the river; make the most of an abundance of walking, hiking, and cycling trails that can be found peppered throughout the Forest of Bowland and soak in the surrounding landscapes. Nearby is the town of Garstang which is known for its tasty home-grown produce and individual shops, where you can buy some treats particular to Lancashire! Barton Grange Garden Centre, café and restaurant and The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre, which includes cinema, curling, crazy golf, and bowling provides a unique entertaining experience. Within reach is the historic city of Lancaster with much to see, including the Medieval castle and Georgian architecture, and the seaside resort of Morecambe. Journey to the city of Preston, where you’ll find Brockholes Nature Reserve, The Harris Museum and Grade II Listed Avenham & Miller Parks; there is also a wealth of pubs, shops, and restaurants. Don't forget to stop by the neighbourhood cheesemongers for a wedge of premium Lancashire cheese! Every Thursday, the street market is another fun place to shop. The tranquil Lancaster Canal runs straight through the middle of the town, where you can see the passing canal boats and take in the plethora of wildlife it supports. In fact, the adjoining Millennium Green, a location on the western bank of the River Wyre, has been set aside for neighbourhood gatherings and the conservation of wildlife. Admire the views of the Bowland Hills before visiting the High Street, where there are many pubs, cafes, and restaurants where you can experience the friendliness of the locals.
