Was a nice surprise to find all the goodies to make a cooked breakfast waiting for us along with a bottle of wine. Beds very comfortable. Half hour walk to the Cross Keys Inn where they serve tasty roast duck.

However it is let down by the kitchen/utility area. Apart from the marble top, one side of which is too high for the average person, it has low end white goods. The fridge is too small for 6 people, no freezer, no washer or drier, half size dishwasher, inadequate storage space, fittings seem to have been made ad hoc by an amateur and poorly planned and needs more and better quality crockery and cooking utensils. This makes the property suitable for very short lets only. The lovely downstairs shower needs a mirror over the sink. The upstairs floor draining shower pools water badly as the floor is clearly not level. The greetings pack was of poor quality and the owners had not checked whether there was a teapot or oven gloves. Some of the pans were not cleaned properly. There were no utility instructions, maps or guidebooks. The owners need to think more about what the consumer expects as basic in renting a high end and not cheap property.
