Offering a family of six open-plan accommodation that is steps away from a wealth of on-site facilities for all ages, Supersonic Lodge is a delightful retreat. After parking outside, make your way up the steps and into this welcoming property, where the electric fire gives the space a warm glow. Kick back and unwind in the sitting area, where a large corner sofa entices you to curl up on as you watch your favourite show on the TV with Freeview. When you're feeling peckish, continue to the well-equipped kitchen, where you can whip up culinary delights, to be enjoyed at the dining table over a glass of wine. When day turns to night, choose one of three lovely bedrooms to rest in, with two of these featuring twin beds and wardrobes, and the master comprising a double bed with fitted storage, a vanity and the benefit of an en-suite cloakroom. Completing the lodge's interior is a contemporary shower room, where you can savour an invigorating shower before wandering out to explore the on-site activities. These activities and facilities consist of a children's play area and on-site entertainment, as well as an outdoor pool and birdwatching opportunities. After venturing to the adjacent beach for some fun in the sun and sand, head back to the park to find a bar/restaurant to enjoy a well-deserved meal; alternatively, why not travel to Glasson Dock, a village hosting all your amenities in one handy spot, from a fantastic deli to The Dalton Arms pub? For a day out with a difference, travel to Lancaster, a city boasting the fantastic sights of Lancaster Maritime Museum and Lancaster Castle, along with the stunning delights of Williamson Park and Fairfield Nature Reserve; there's so much to see here. For a day out in nature, be sure to travel into the Forest of Bowland AONB, where the peaks of Clougha Pike, Grit Fell and Wolfhole Crag are waiting to be climbed. Take it easy and spend more time on one of the beaches dotted along the Fylde Coast and the Arnside & Silverdale AONB, or perhaps a day exploring the outdoors in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is more to your fancy? Glasson Dock used to be the busiest port in the North West, but it is now a peaceful village close to Lancaster, Morecambe, and the Forest of Bowland aonb. The village's environs include the River Lune, which you can stroll along for magnificent views of Cockersand Abbey and Plover Scar Lighthouse, as well as being home to a charming marina and old lighthouse. The Lockkeepers Rest, a café serving hearty fare is a great place to stop for a bite to eat.
