About this property

Resting in the centre of Heysham, Lancashire, is this lovely, stone fronted end-terrace cottage, 2 Tower Cottages. The property is ideal for couples or small families, and is a peaceful base for exploring the landscapes, towns and cities of Lancashire. Nestled inside a pleasant courtyard, 2 Tower Cottages has a porch area for hanging coats and keeping shoes, before you step into the welcoming sitting room; after a long day exploring the coast, the gas coal-effect fire awaits with a reclining corner sofa and TV for a relaxing night in. Walking through the cottage and into the kitchen, you will find storage for the essentials and an electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher, so there's no need to go out if you prefer a home-cooked meal. The back door leads you to an enclosed courtyard, with a seating area to drink your morning coffee and plan the day, as well as a convenient outhouse with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one king-size and one double, with fitted wardrobes to store your belongings, whilst the bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail for extra warmth on those colder days. Thanks to 2 Tower Cottages' great location, you are near to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants of Heysham, as well as fabulous walks along the coast where you can visit the ruins of St. Patrick's Chapel and its Viking tombs. Explore Heysham’s nature reserve and its wildlife and the Viking ship sculpture at Half Moon Bay. Other popular nearby areas include Morecambe Bay; a short journey away, the seaside town has a lovely promenade, sandy beaches and many cycling and walking trails to explore. The promenade extends from Heysham to Morecambe if you would like the challenge? Lancaster is a busier city lying to the north east of the cottage, which is home to an abundance of shops, eateries and sights to explore, such as Lancaster Castle, the picturesque Williamson Park and Lancaster City Museum. Heading further north takes you to Carnforth, a lovely market town with an iconic railway station, a heritage centre offering a variety of exhibitions, and outdoor pursuits for climbing, hiking and abseiling. 2 Tower Cottages is an excellent spot to call home whilst you have a memorable holiday exploring Lancashire.

A picturesque coastal village, Heysham lies just a few miles from the town of Morecambe and the city of Lancaster. The village houses a selection of shops, pubs, eateries and small businesses, and is surrounded by woodland, open grassland and sandy beaches. Heysham Heritage Centre tells the story of local history, whilst there are ferry links taking visitors to the Isle of Man. The village is a peaceful place for exploring Lancashire's landscape, towns and cities.

We were very impressed and considered it a home from home. It was fully equipped with all you would require to make a meal or just to relax on the very comfortable sofa to having a good nights sleep in the equally comfortable bed. We hope to come back again.

The dog loved our walks along the beach and crashed out for the rest of the day. The cottage is a lovely place to stay, it is warm, welcoming and cosy.

The tooth brush holder in the bathroom was black inside and the the kitchen sink untensils had been used by other people, not new ones.
