I wouldn't stay again as having to go down the steep stairs in the night to use the toilet was tricky Too many wardrobes for a short stay. Also there's room for a super king bed or at least a kingsize bed in the front bedroom. Back bedroom was ok. Kitchen was fine (apart from the tin opener which really didn't work). Lounge was ok. Garden was nice but totally wasted on us as we had to go outside every time we let the dogs out but I understand there's not alot can be done about that. It was pretty clean but loads of cobwebs hanging in the bathroom from the ceiling.

. comfortable beds, lounge spacious and comfy. Not comfy sitting in the garden, could do with comfy garden chairs. good garden for dogs, but cant be let out alone, as drive separates the garden and cottage. Pub fabulous, area great for exploring.

We didn't really use the living room much as it smelled musty and there was no way of getting rid of it as the only window in the room didn't open (feature of a cottage I guess). The biggest disappointment was the outside space which was overgrown and not well maintained. This had a big impact on our stay as we booked it based on the views from the garden. The pictures on the website suggest a clear view over country fields when in fact the actual views are obscured by overgrown shrubs and trees. The bottom of the garden overlooks a cow shed which is piled 30foot high with dung. Unfortunately due to the overgrown trees the majority of the garden is kept in shade most of the day. Summer house was bady mantained and faced towards the house which is peculiar. Outside furniture needed a deep clean from winter months which we did in order to be able to use. No local walks for the dogs as the cottage is on main road and is quite busy. The pub opposite was OK to have a drink in but forget it if you intend to eat here each night because it is an award winning restaurant with award winning prices.
