Lovely cottage with more or less everything you need. Nice touches like hand soap, body wash, dishwasher tablets etc, coffee pods etc. Very clean and homely.The information pack could do with an update to remove any reference to a parking permit as there isn’t one! (It does say there isn’t one on the website but the neighbour told us that there should be one so we hunted for sometime to try to find it). A couple of minor issues for us - the bedroom on the top floor does not have a blind on one of the windows which was a bit of a problem for us as baby woke up early due to daylight. We were going to a wedding and so it would have been good to have a full length mirror in the property and a mirror in the top floor bedroom. There is one in the loo on the top floor but unless you are 6ft tall you won’t be able to see yourself in it ! No hanging storage in the 2nd bedroom on the first floor but plenty on the top floor. We were a family sharing so not an issue for us, but could be if you were couples sharing. We had a lovely stay and managed to sit out in the beautiful garden in March. Such great weather! The property is in a great location to explore Cartmel on foot and enjoy the various restaurants/ pubs.

Barngarth is a well appointed spacious terraced house in the centre of Cartmel. It was a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend a winter week. No parking available, but we managed to find a space each day by the comprehensive school.Highly recommended.
