Great location. Spacious very comfortable & decently equipped flat. Suited our group well & we really enjoyed our stay. Would happily recommend. Do think there should be reference to the very short doors in the upstairs bedrooms. Appreciate it’s all to maximise the space in the eaves, and the bedrooms are a decent size, but adults do have to be flexible to get through the doors. And some hooks for towels in the upstairs bathroom would be helpful.Plus the electric radiator thermostats don’t work, so the options are on & at the temp preset, or unplugged. The downstairs bathroom thermostat is set at 36!! It was so hot that it could be a health & safety issue for burns.

We had a brilliant stay at Cartmel Place. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Cartmel, with restaurants, pubs, and all the local amenities just a short stroll away. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, with each room thoughtfully styled to suit the character of the building. It felt cosy, welcoming, and really well looked after. The welcome bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch and made our arrival feel special.Local food options were excellent too. We’d definitely recommend the Pig and Whistle for a great meal.Overall, Cartmel Place offers great value for money, and we’d happily stay here again. A perfect base for enjoying everything the village has to offer.
