For those who have bought their clubs, Kendal is home to an excellent golf course with expansive views, the ideal place to play a few rounds. A little further is Hawes, where you can immerse yourself in rural life at the Dales Countryside Museum which features exhibitions, an outdoor steam train and a café for a cup of tea and slice of cake afterwards.
