Just a stone's throw away from a host of local amenities and the shoreline, and a car journey away from the Lake District National Park, the home is well-suited for a family getaway, providing five guests with flexible sleeping arrangements, a pet-friendly garden, and a well-equipped kitchen. Park up on the private driveway before entering the welcoming sitting room, complete with a plush corner sofa, Smart TV, and patio doors out to the enclosed area, featuring a barbecue and furniture, ideal for alfresco dining. If you'd prefer to dine indoors, discover the kitchen/diner, complete with a range of culinary appliances to ease your self-catered stay and a table for five. When sleep calls, select between a super-king-size with TV and en-suite, a double, and a single, all well-presented and serviced by the main bathroom. Come morning, plan your itinerary, starting off with a tour of the town, where you can discover the Ornamental Gardens, play a round of golf at the Grange Over Sands Golf Club, tour the pretty grounds of Holker Hall & Gardens, lounge upon Grange-Over-Sands Beach, or hike towards Humphrey Head for the best vantage point. Nearby you'll arrive at Cartmel, home to the magnificent Cartmel Priory, or perhaps book your getaway to attend one of many race days at Cartmel Racecourse, before heading to Kendal, ready to explore Sizergh and Kendal Museum, both rich in history. Finish off your getaway by visiting Windermere and its stunning lake, enveloped by attractions, including the Predator Wolf Experience, National Trust - Fell Foot viewpoint, the Lakes Aquarium, and the popular The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, offering something for all the family. Enjoy your next getaway at 42 Tricketts Drive.

With one of the mildest climates in the north of England, the beautiful Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands is situated between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay. When the Furness Railway was built, Grange-over-Sands, a sleepy fishing community, was converted into a chic Edwardian resort. A traffic-free promenade, lovely ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band performances, and fantastic bird watching are just a few of the many attractions the town has to offer visitors today. Lake Windermere (8 miles), the charming communities of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, and Cartmel, the birthplace of sticky toffee pudding, are all easily accessible by car. Cartmel also boasts a renowned racecourse and the L'Enclume restaurant, which has been ranked as the fourth best restaurant in the UK. Other points of interest nearby include Sizergh Castle, a National Trust mediaeval house and grounds, Levens Hall, an Elizabethan Hall with its internationally renowned topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house.

I couldn't find a hairdryer? Great location, far enough away from centre, but can easily walk there. Also at the bottom of the estate, pathway to a big field and a under pass to the prom. The owner Amanda was lovely. I forgot my dog's harness and she very kindly lent me one. We will definitely be back.

Clean and tidy and well appointed property. Close to the area of Grange Over Sands. We enjoyed walking along the prom with our dog and visiting the local villages. All in a lovely quiet week.
