Walk from your door to Lacy s Caves, where you will find five chambers carved into the sandstone cliffs less than half a mile from home. Continue on to Long Meg and her Daughters and make it a loop by adding in a visit to the village of Little Salkeld, the route is 4.5 miles long and great for a gentle walk. A 12.5 mile journey will take you to the northern tip of Ullswater, a beautiful body of water where you can make a splash and hire boats or enjoy a leisurely cruise on an Ullswater Steamer. Make your way inside this quaint, single storey home and begin your escape to the Lake District. Built as a gatehouse in 1900, this bolthole exudes character and charm and is a welcoming place to call home. The open plan living space is light, bright and airy, yet cosy thanks to the wood burner which throws heat into the space. Lose yourself in a good book or switch on the TV/DVD for a romantic film night.
