Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and fuel for wood burner included. Front garden with garden furniture. No smoking. 1 small dog only.. Inside, an open-plan layout brings together the double sleeping area, relaxing lounge seating, dining table and a practical corner for easy meals. A modern ensuite is also included. Step outside to an enclosed private garden where you can enjoy breakfast outdoors or linger over supper. The owners’ nearby smallholding sometimes lets guests meet friendly donkeys, ponies, goats, chickens and alpacas. Spring Meadow Sheperds Hut is surrounded by woodland full of deer, red squirrels and brown hares. Not far is Ennerdale Water, Loweswater and Crummock Water, renowned for their superb walking routes, cycling, fishing and wildlife watching, while the Cumbrian coast, local shops, pubs and historic harbour towns such as Whitehaven and Cockermouth offer plenty more to explore. Local pub is just a 5 minute walk away.

Home from a most relaxing week living the cosy shepherds hut life in the peace & tranquility of Rowrah, Cumbria. Would highly recommend. This hut has everything that you need to sit back, relax and enjoy its peaceful setting with birds & local wildlife, not to mention the owl, horses & alpaca’s. The hut is well equipped with everything you need. It is soon warm & heats up in no time at all, with the electric heater on briefly. On our one damp evening a couple of logs on the wood burning stove soon found us toasty to the point of having to open the door to cool down! Finally I must mention the bed! Perfect in every way! Pristine, crisp white cotton bedding & so so comfy - we both slept like logs all week! Just what we needed. Thank you Sarah & hubby - loved it! & highly recommend - we hope to return for another break away soon x
