A superb, semi-detached Lakeland cottage nestled in beautiful surroundings in the traditional fell village of Caldbeck. This pretty cottage is situated under the Northern fells, at the edge of the Lake District National Park and is almost equal distant from Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Wigton and Cockermouth. Beckside Cottage has charming features, including a stained glass entrance door depicting a Swaledale sheep, along with oak beams, sash windows and a toasty fireplace with a wood burning stove. The cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable, just what you need after a day out walking in the hills surrounding Caldbeck. We have stayed here before and will be back again. The owners very kindly contacted us to ask if all was well, a gesture that was very much appreciated. A big thank you to the owners of the cottage for making our break so enjoyable.

It is managed by owners who are not intrusive but very caring of their clients. The village is interesting and friendly, with good amenities and well centred for walkers and touring the northern lakes.
