Set back off the main road through Allonby but still with a view of the Solway Firth, Aden barn was a great base for your holiday. It has a new kitchen fitted( not as shown in photos) and now also has an upright fridge/freezer. The laundry area wax ideal. Well equipped kitchen. Stairs were a bit steep and narrow treads, we noticed more as we had an adult with poor mobility. Just be aware, not a huge issue. Bathroom is a bit snug, but again we noticed more due to having a disabled adult who needed help to be bathed. Overall it was clean, with good appliances. Mattresses were too soft for our liking but that's a personal choice as were the sofas. Would recommend Aden Barn

Fabulous cottage, in a beautiful location. Great value for money. All of the appliances you could need, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. Lovely bedding, which smelled so fresh and comfy settees. Parking is tight down the lane, but there's a free car park across the road, less than 100 metres away. We loved the quirky nature of the property with the mezzanine landing so as not to spoil the large arched window. Lovely view towards the mountains of Scotland across the Solway firth.
