We regularly visit this area as we have family there, but it is a beautiful location. The Lodge is convenient for many of the beautiful towns and villages, and I guess walkers, which isn't what we do. Cockermouth itself is maybe 10 min drive, Workington 25, Keswick around 40, Ambleside was nearer the hour. However, the roads are winding with some of the most gorgeous scenery. All this, and more all very easily accessible from the lodge. The park that it is located on is very well maintained, and looks lovely too. The Lodge itself is clean, I could smell the cleanliness when we opened the door. There are towels and bedding included both were clean. The kitchen is well equipped although I did find the air fryer drawer very temperamental, maybe some air fryer safe liners would be useful, or bring your own. The bed was a little soft for my personal taste but my husband found it comfortable. All in all, the Lodge was very nice and suited our needs well. Our only negative was that its getting a little tired in places, ie the ceiling is starting to wrinkle n the living area and main bedroom, and some of the cupboards are also starting to delaminate around the edges. We enjoyed our stay at Fellside Lodge, for our needs it was conveniently located, was clean and well equipped. We would come again.

Struggled with large bed, mattress throws you out onto one side or other. Does need replacing.Would have been nice to have dish liquid, paper towels, box of tissues, toilet paper, sugar. Didn't know I'd have to get the basics.A fan would have been helpfulIt was very clean and fairly quiet. Ground were immaculate. Lovely to have Cafe just next door, but long ride into town. Owner was available and responsive.

Caravan was brilliant, very clean, beds were comfortable, no wi-fi, but due to location, there is so much to do, so wasn't really an issue for us, would definitely come back
