We had a short stay here for our honeymoon and we where not disappointed the property is absolutely stunning the hot tub is fantastic the location is very quiet which is nice for just chilling and relaxing there is a tesco superstore about a 15 minute drive away which is easy if your cooking and the owners are always on hand with restaurant recommendations should you wish to dine out.We are planning to go back for our anniversary next year.

Our family stayed at Whitehill Barn for 7 nights in July 2026. The location of the barn is great, its around 10 minutes from the nearest town, and 25 from Carlisle, yet it is quiet and peaceful on the farm, with just the cows breaking the silence, which was nice. The farm dogs are lovely and friendly, was a nice sight to see them running to welcome you back, after a day out, Purdy was a particular favourite of our two little girls.The Barn is well equipped with everything you could need, the whole barn is finished to a very high standard, with modern kitchen and bathrooms and comfy beds. The barn has an enclosed garden space which is great for younger children like ours. The hot tub is a nice addition to the cottage, easy to operate and relax in an evening.Cant thank the owner Mark enough, helpful from day one, getting the wood burning hot tub up and running for us, topping up logs, among other things, and also letting us know when the highland cows were near the cottages so our daughters could feed them.Overall, The stay was perfect, we will definitely return to Cumbria, and hopefully to Whitehill Barn.

Really enjoyed the holiday here, was nice lovely place. Me and my teenagers enjoyed our time away and was close enough for days out. Owners were on hand to help and we loved the dogs that visited us everyday. The only problem my boys had was the internet cutting in and out and world cup on but did not bother me.
