Although cosy in space it is perfect for a couples getaway. Although on land with other huts, it is completely private and hidden behind bushes to the main house. It boasts a stunning view of Scotland from the decking and hot tub and front row seats to watch the sunset. On arrival we collected the keys from the safe and were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and two shepherds pie free of charge which was a lovely touch. We were still able to travel further into the lakes from here, the M6 is near and just a 50 minute drive into Keswick, 40 minutes to Thirlmere and 1 hour 20 minutes into Buttermere. Then we could return to peace and quiet into the hot tub for the evening. Overall our stay was perfect.

I have to be honest, the place is lovely and clean and the gesture of a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and 2 very excellent Shepard's pies was amazing, but…it was a little tricky managing the lavatory, as, if you’re tall…well it’s a little cramped in there shall we say. But I don’t want to detract from the stay, and it’s a really lovely place. If there was one other thing to recommend to the owners, perhaps trim the tree that over hangs the tin roof? We had some wind and the resulting scratching scared the hell out of us until we realised it wasn’t a wild bear attack!
