About this property

Situated in the Cheshire countryside in the village of Capesthorne, rests this stylish first-floor apartment, Carriage House. Enjoying 100 acres of greenery at the 18th century Capesthorne Hall, this two-bedroom accommodation is idyllic for friends or two couples seeking a romantic escape. On arrival, locate the car park to leave your vehicle before stepping inside your holiday home and climbing a flight of stairs to reach the apartment. Discover the bright and airy kitchen/diner, where you can keep the designated chef company at the island as they make use of the double electric oven. Settle down at the dining table to tuck-into a feast and keep your favourite bottle cool in the wine chiller so you savour a glass in the evening. When the sun is shining, carry the conversation out onto the front patio, where you can admire the surrounding countryside views. As day draws to night, retire inside and unwind in the sitting room, with a Smart TV to keep you entertained so why not bring out the popcorn for a film night in? After a day of exploring the gems of Cheshire, rest up in the contemporary bathroom, with a deep tub for a bubble-bath or a double shower for a hot rinse. When sleep calls, choose between a king-size with an en-suite or a twin bedroom, both tastefully furnished with high ceilings. In the morning, awaken with a home-cooked breakfast in the kitchen/diner as coffee is poured and plans are made for the day ahead. Embark on a guided-tour around the estate to learn about the riveting past and take a short stroll to Redesmere Lake for a scenic reading spot. For more history, why not venture to the Tudor Hall at Tatton Park, enjoy a ramble at the National Trust site of Hare Hill or visit Gauntlet Birds of Prey – Eagle & Vulture Park, Knutsford. Also within easy reach, is the affluent village of Alderley Edge, home to a cluster of fancy restaurants for a treat or for a wider selection of eateries, visit the exciting city of Manchester, with bustling shops and bars to suit all budgets. For a much-needed break, consider Carriage House.

Chelford is a small village in Cheshire near the A537 and A535, giving it an excellent base for exploring the Northwest. The 18th century Capesthorne Estate, which rests on 100 acres of greenery in the Cheshire countryside, is just outside the hamlet. The family-run bar, The Egerton Arms Chophouse restaurant and pub, has a lovely beer garden where you can sample local ales, and the well-stocked Chelford Corner Shoppe has everything you need. History aficionados should head west of the hamlet to Tatton Park, a Tudor mansion with extensive gardens to explore.
