About this Family Friendly Hotel

The Strathdon Hotel in Blackpool sits about midway between the Tower and Pleasure Beach, and offers a warm welcome to families.  Stylish recently refurbished family rooms are fully equipped with all home comforts, and a choice of Superior, Standard and King-size family rooms are available all presented to a very high standard.  Free WiFi and an award-winning breakfast are included and a tasty bar menu including a children's menu is served every evening. 

Popular family attractions such as Pleasure Beach theme park and Sandcastle waterpark are just a short stroll away.  The promenade, piers and donkey rides on the beach are just on our doorstep, and we're also ideal as family accommodation if you're attending a match at nearby Blackpool FC's Bloomfield Stadium only a 5 minute walk away.

We are located on St Chads Road, a former award-winner of Blackpool 'Street of the Year'.

Family Rooms

We have 10 very comfortable rooms including stylish fully equipped family, twin, double and single rooms.  Choose from Standard or Superior accommodation with additional luxury extras such as large LED TVs with Freeview. 

All rooms include en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, free WiFi and a cooked breakfast.

Our family rooms are:-

Room 5 - Superior Family Room, an ultra stylish modern room located at the front with a large bay window and views of pretty St Chads Road.  This room has two comfortable double beds, bedside units with draws, a wardrobe, dressing table with draws, two bucket chairs both with foot stools, tea and coffee making facilities and a 48" LED TV with Freeview channels.  The en-suite is a spacious shower room.

Room 8 - Standard Family Room, a lovely room also at the front with views of St Chads Road, generously sized and accommodating 2 adults and 1 child with space for a travel cot which we can happily provide on request.  This room has a 32" flat-screen TV with Freeview and an en-suite shower room.

Room 9 - King-size Family Room located near the rear of the guest house, perfect for a peaceful nights sleep.  This room can accommodate a family of 4 with space for a travel cot available on request.  This room has a new very comfortable king-size bed and a single bed, hanging space, bedside units with draws, a 26" flat-screen TV with Freeview channels and an en-suite shower room.

Food & Drink

An Enjoy England award-winning breakfast is included in the booking price, served each day in the dining room from 8.30am to 9am.

A varied breakfast menu includes a hearty full cooked English breakfast, a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

We also serve an evening bar menu with a wide selection of favourites ranging from home-made lasagne and scampi and chips to cold sandwiches, beefburgers and jacket potatoes.

Children's portions of the main menu are also offered, and our children's menu featuring favourites such as fish fingers, chips and peas is available daily from 6pm to 8pm.  Visit our website to browse our bar menu in full.

Directions

From the M55 motorway to Blackpool, follow signs for South Shore onto Yeadon Way.  At the second roundabout take a right turn (the Waterloo Road exit), and then take a left at the next roundabout staying in the left-hand lane. 

Carry on over the Waterloo Road bridge taking the right hand lane.  Take a right turn at the roundabout onto Lytham Road, then take the seventh turning on the left into St Chads Road and The Strathdon is halfway down on your right.
