Snaptrip says

Cygnet Cottage is praised for its excellent location in a picturesque village, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped and comfortable setting, alongside a generous welcome pack. Some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance are noted, but overall experiences are positive, with many willing to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is generally found to be clean, with a few guests noting it could be improved in certain areas such as surfaces, doors, and windows. The presence of a hair bobble and slight smell upstairs suggest room for improvement.

The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and convenience, with guests enjoying the proximity to the river, walks, pubs, and restaurants. It is described as perfect and brilliant by several reviewers.

While the cottage is often described as comfortable, there are remarks about the bed being noisy and sagging, and some furniture being uncomfortable. However, the overall sentiment remains positive.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options. However, issues with heating, hot water, and leaks detract from the score. The responsiveness to maintenance issues is mixed.

Guests are pleased with the welcome pack provided, although it is noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed. Suggestions for additional items indicate guests appreciate the extra touches.

We had a great stay in Cygnet Cottage, the cottage was very clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was a lovely welcome tray with essentials to get us started on arrival. Great Wi-Fi which was a big help on the wet days, there was also lots of games, books and dvds to keep the family entertained. Location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast and nestled in a lovely village with great pubs. Would happily stay here again.

Perfect location and a well equipped and comfortable place to stay. The village is very picturesque and plenty of good places for dog walking. The Mason's Arms and Jackdaw restaurant were exceptional.

This is a good property in an excellent location. Neighbours were friendly and helpful. Parking not a problem, even though it is quite a popular spot with locals for the walks and river activities. Great access to pubs, restaurants and walks. Bed a little soft for our comfort. There is some road noise all night from a main road with the bedroom window open, but tolerable for most people.
