Step outside and make the most of the decking, where you can dine alfresco style or savour a soak in the hot tub amidst the tranquil surroundings. As you look to catch some rest, three tastefully presented bedrooms await, with one benefitting from an en-suite shower room, while the sparkling bathroom serves the house. Right on your doorstep, you will find the welcoming Coach House, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal followed by a leisurely stroll along the Otter Burn. The village is also home to the historic Otterburn Mill, where you can shop or sample a light bite at the café. Lodge 32 is ideally located for keen walkers and cyclists with easy access to the famous Hadrian’s Wall and the stunning surroundings of Kielder Forest. Head to Bellingham, where you can test out your swing at the excellent Bellingham Golf Club, hike along the Hareshaw Iron Works Trail or time your visit right to attend the annual Bellingham Show and Country Festival in August. Further afield, you will find Alnwick, home to the renowned Alnwick Castle, famous for its appearance in the Harry Potter Film series, along with the Aln Valley Railway, or continue onto Hadrian’s Wall where you can tour the fascinating remains of Roman Empire with museums and tearooms along the way! Lodge 32 has everything for a memorable break to Northumberland, whatever time of year.

The charming village of Otterburn is nestled near to the banks of the River Rede, between the hills and moors overlooking the North Tyne Valley, and was once the scene of the illustrious Scots triumph over the English in 1388. It is on a number of well-traveled routes for bicycles and provides excellent options for walking. Nearby attractions include Hadrian's Wall, the lovely Kielder Forest and Waters, which offer wonderful opportunities for horseback riding, nature watching, and fishing in a stunning, serene setting. Otterburn had had a thriving weaving industry, and the village's past is commemorated by the internationally renowned Otterburn Mill. A popular 18-hole golf course is located in the nearby town of Bellingham, which was primarily constructed from local stone and slate. Bellingham also has a few bars, shops, and tea rooms. Visit the magnificent stately residences Wallington Hall and Cragside, which are close by, or the charming market town of Alnwick, which is only 40 minutes away and has a magnificent castle and gardens. Otterburn is an excellent destination for a restful vacation any time of year.
