Little Fawn is a spacious and generally well-regarded holiday cottage, appreciated for its peaceful countryside location and added luxuries like a hot tub. Guests have found it to be a comfortable base for exploring the beautiful surroundings, though some attention to detail regarding cleanliness and maintenance has been suggested.

Reviews are mixed on cleanliness. While some guests found the property clean and well-kept, one review cited significant cleanliness issues, including dog hair and an unsatisfactory response to complaints. This suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful countryside setting, making it an ideal retreat for guests looking to relax and enjoy nature.

The property is generally considered comfortable, especially for smaller groups, though there are comments suggesting that space might be tight for larger parties, particularly around the dining area.

Facilities like the hot tub are well-received, but there are mentions of minor issues such as missing kitchen items, a temperamental TV, and a need for clearer instructions for the induction hob. The outdoor furniture also requires attention.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category. As such, the score is set to null.

Would not recommend staying here absolutely filthy have complained via hoseasons who I originally booked with and cottages.com still waiting for a reply. Dog hairs inside every bed linen which clearly had not been changed.bed side tables covered in dog hair and the full lodge just smelt of wet dog, I have a pets myself and understand this is a dog lodge but there should be a level of cleanliness for the next guests a. We were approached by the cleaner that there was a dog that stayed in before us but clearly it should of been cleaned. the cleaner came after we complained and only changed the bed sheets did not wipe down surfaces or anything, I’m appalled with how this lodge was left as it is a nice lodge, we were left with bites from our stay and I would hate to think that anyone would bring there children here in these unhygienic conditions.

We had a great week staying here helped by fab weather. The inside was clean, comfortable and well equipped, ideal for the two of us although maybe having only one bathroom would be difficult if there were six of you. Equally, the room around the table was perfect for two, but would be a squeeze for six. The site was well cared for and quiet which suited us. Although it was disappointing that the bar and restaurant onsite was not open for us to enjoy an anniversary meal, we were more than happy with the meal at William de Perce in the village.A couple of suggestions: We would have liked a little more information available about the appliances, the WiFi code etc. Also we felt the outside deck area needed some attention. The chairs and table needed a good clean. Whilst I can understand some leaves on the deck, there were piles of pine leaves that needed sweeping up. It made a good base for us to explore this beautiful county.
