Located a stone’s throw from the golden expanse of sandy beach at the north-end of Seahouses, this delightful detached bungalow has lovely open views with Bamburgh Castle as the backdrop. Newly refurbished, the accommodation is tastefully furnished and cosy. The lounge and master bedroom are at the front of the property allowing uninterrupted views across the sand dunes at St. Aidan’s. There’s a twin bedroom at the rear, modern bathroom and separate toilet. The central dining room has an open fire and leads to a well-appointed kitchen. The bungalow sits within a large enclosed garden with patio area to the rear; a great space to dine alfresco and a haven for children and dogs at play. There’s also off-road parking for two cars.
This is an ideal spot for family beach holidays or sightseeing and (dog) walking holidays. On the outskirts of the seaside village of Seahouses you have everything to hand that you could need – the beach, great views, Seahouses and the Farne Islands, and cosy accommodation.

Great spot really well placed for beach and town. Parking great, quiet and well equipped, two minor gripes - the back step is very steep and the main double bed needs replacing (mattress far too worn/soft and base rickety) other than that we really liked the place.

We had such a lovely time in Ziggy's Retreat. Lovely & Clean home, The Beach Hut in the garden where I spent time reading my books. Plenty of parking and the view of Bamburgh Castle from the lounge, brilliant. Lovely garden & dog friendly. We enjoyed feeding & watering the birds and watching from the kitchen/diner. The walks from the door, either down to the sea and walk along the path to Seahouses, about 10-20 mins. Lovely golden sands. Or left towards the trees and the off road path to the top of the main car park in Seahouses, nice & cool when it was hot, all the time. Bamburgh & Beadnell worth visiting. We had lovely meals in the Middle Inn Bamburgh & Craster Arms, Sea Salt Cafe, Beadnell Towers & The Courtyard Cafe, Beadnell. The Olde Ship Inn & The Beach House Hotel in Seahouses. Follow the Coastal Custodian for things to do in Northumberland. All in all an excellent holiday & plenty to do. Such a lovely place to come home to Ziggy's Retreat and relax after a day exploring.

My 5th time at Ziggy's and it has never disappointed. Amazing location for the sunset over Bamburgh Castle, beach at the end of the road and all the amenities you need in Seahouses. The cottage is lovely and cosy with an abundance of outside space, and off road parking is a huge plus.
