Set on the owner’s smallholding on 22 acres where you are free to walk, this is an idyllic retreat for couples or two friends. The cosy ambience in the open aspect living area with exposed features is reflected right through the cottage from the moment you open the front door. Set all on one level, the cottage has a lovely bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed with comfy mattresses and bedding just right for a perfect night’s sleep. From the living area, you will find a fully enclosed south-facing lawned garden with seating, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring around Northumberland or for enjoying your morning cup of tea. The traditional-style, well-equipped kitchen is a lovely space should you wish to cook whilst staying here in The Workshop. Whilst staying here you can visit the owner’s donkey and mules, and sheep, or you can meander across the field to explore the ponds, streams and wildlife, all on-site.
Situated just off the A1, close to Newton-on-the-Moor and nearby Felton, The Workshop is set in an ideal location ensuring travelling around is very easy in all directions. Only a mile from a highly acclaimed pub/restaurant in Newton-on-the-Moor if you want to treat yourselves to a lovely meal. Head over to the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with miles of golden beaches, peppered with historic castles or head west over to Hadrian’s Wall area where you can spend some time walking some of the ancient wall, perhaps stop off at one of the Roman forts.
The Workshop is only a few minutes from Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland who resides in a part of the majestic castle, where some scenes in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed. Discover the cobbled streets with a great choice of pubs, cafes and shops. Northumberland is reputedly the friendliest county in England and all over this super friendly county you can be assured of a real warm ‘Geordie’ welcome when you venture out of The Workshop.

The workshop's secure garden was a great hit with our dogs as we're the walks through the fields by the stream.It is a good base from which to visit all the wonderful historic sites beautiful Northumberland has to offer We will definitely stay again
