The location and site we had no complaints. The position of the accommodation within the site was good and the view was nice. The communication with sykes was great. The property however was really let down by the cleanliness of the place when we arrived. The fridge had food remains from the previous guests and needed cleaned on arrival. All the blinds were thick with dust. We had to hoover round all the edges of the carpets as they looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months. It had spiders webs in lots of locations. Mould behind the toilet. The shower head and hose were needing cleaned as they had black mould on them. The shower head was dangling down and required a repair which I achieved to use it properly. Alot of the dishes and cutlery needed cleaned before use as they were still stained and unclean from the dishwasher. There was hair's and fluff in the cutlery tray. The bedding was inadequate as the duvet didn't overhang the edges. The sheets in the main bedroom were needing replacing as they were old and bobbled not to mention the hairs that were found inbetween the covers. Just as well we brought our own sleeping bags. Hairs and thick dust down the side and back of the bed. Thick dust on the lightswitches. Stains on the lampshades. A foosty smell throughout the property. Definitely in need of an some air fresheners. The decking area is in need of a deep clean. On the plus side it was comfortable and spacious but definitely needing a proper deep clean and some general maintenance to make it up to the standards we expected from a sykes holiday as we have been to many other sykes properties in the past.
