Rothbury is situated in the heart of The Coquet Valley, in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside. Rothbury s small market town is a peaceful haven and an ideal base from which to explore the spectacular Northumberland countryside and coast, its castles, stately homes, areas of natural beauty, historic landmarks and fascinating history. There are a great deal of places to see and things to do locally, so be sure to plan your adventures. The town has an abundance of independent shops, traditional tea rooms and eateries, and a butcher. If you are packing you golf clubs then head to Rothbury Golf Course, with spectacular valley views and a clubhouse. If you enjoy visiting historic houses, the nearby National Trust property of Cragside House is only short drive away.
