No smoking.. Millside is set in the centre of the pretty, historic market town of Morpeth, close to the river and just behind the high street. This semi-detached house is ideally located to enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and pubs practically on your doorstep, whilst leaving your cars in the private parking area in front of the property. Morpeth is a lively historic town with some excellent eateries and bespoke shops, and a weekly market held in the market square. The Chantry houses the excellent Bagpipe Museum, tourist information and unique craft stalls. Boats can be hired to row along the pretty river which runs through the town, or take a gentle river walk.
Only a short drive is the Heritage Coast where miles of golden beaches and friendly villages appeal to all ages. Stop off at Craster for famous kippers, drop into Bamburgh Castle and carry on a little further to Holy Island. The nearby train station is perfect to take you to Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh or York should you wish to explore further. All of these fantastic cities are worth a visit whilst staying in Northumberland. This is a fantastic, central location to explore the many delights of what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. Easy road access for Hadrianâs Wall, the Heritage Coast and the Northumberland National Park. Newcastle, 15 miles, Alnwick Castle, 20 miles, Hadrianâs Wall (Vindolanda), 37 miles, and Kielder Water, 45 miles. Beach 8 miles. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 175 yards.

First visit here and it won't be the last. Millside is in an excellent location for the town. Close enough for convenience but still very quiet with 2 parking spaces out front. The interior is much better than the photographs show with 3 bedrooms (very comfy bed in the double), good size bathroom upstairs and a bonus downstairs toilet. The living room is very spacious and has comfy seating and it also has a well equipped kitchen too. Good outdoor seating too. Would definitely book again. Morpeth is a great place to stay.

We had a brilliant fortnight in Northumberland. We stayed in Morpeth last year too in another lovely house. As you can see by my stars everything was ideal for us. It's a beautiful area & we enjoyed visits to museums, Hadrians wall, boat trip around the Farne islands, Durham Cathedral & Bishop Auckland.We did have one issue that no post was delivered to the house. Due to the council elections we had ordered postal votes. This has not yet been resolved with the local office & we would appreciate a response as we've booked again fir next year.
