While it had been cleaned the apartment needed a more thorough cleaning and attention to detail such as the soap and washing up dispensers being empty on arrival. We booked on the basis that the listing states no pets however it was obvious that animals had been in the property and on querying this with Cottages.com we were told bookings with pets were being honoured until. 2027. Had this been mentioned in the listing we would not have booked due to my husband’s allergies to pet hair. The listing also does not state that you have to pay for parking in the local car park. The on street parking which the instructions tell you to use for unloading is restricted. While mostly peaceful, when the people in the downstairs flat are talking you can hear every word. The apartment is in a great location and the views are lovely but due to the issues we experienced we wouldn’t stay again.

A welcoming, cosy and comfortable first floor flat with lovely far reaching views across to Walkworth Castle, slightly nearer, the Marina and open ground very popular with dog walkers. On a good evening sunsets are stunning.Admittedly the exterior was disappointing on arrival, access is via an untidy alley full of wheelie bins BUT once inside the interior has been very nicely decorated and furnished and I say again it is a very welcoming, cosy and a comfortable place to stay, we enjoyed it very much.Location is a bonus, just minutes from the shops, restaurants and cafés though we would ask that the address and directions given are better explained, mentioning rear access via an archway, perhaps pointing out the Post Office on the corner would help arrivals ( especially when pouring with rain and visibility is poor).

Loved our stay, Marina View was spotlesly clean, attractive and comfortable. Beautiful view acros the marina and up to Warkworth castle. Well situated both for Amble and exploring Northumberland. Would happily recommend
