Manderine Lodge is praised for its well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. Set in beautiful Northumberland woodland, it's ideal for exploring local attractions. Some guests noted areas for improvement, particularly in maintenance, but overall experiences were positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The lodge generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, with mentions of it being clean and comfortable. However, some guests noted issues such as a musty smell, mould in the bathroom, and a dirty veranda, which slightly impacted the overall perception.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful countryside, proximity to beaches, castles, and other attractions. The woodland setting and the convenience for walks and days out contributed to a high score.
Guests found the lodge spacious and homely, but some comfort issues were raised, such as a worn settee, a leaky shower attachment, and a heavy hot tub cover, especially for older guests.
The lodge is well-equipped, with a fully functional kitchen and a hot tub. However, guests mentioned several maintenance issues like a weak shower, noisy extractor, and outdated TV, suggesting a need for updates and repairs.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts like wine and crisps. While these gestures were well-received, it should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Even visiting for a week in the low season in November, we were able to visit a different castle or National Trust site every day, most of them less than an hour's drive away. The caravan and hot tub were very well maintained and appliances were easy to use. The directions for the timed heating confused us at first but hosts were very prompt to respond. Only thing I'd suggest is if guests stay in the winter in future, it would be good to provide some salt and road grit to ensure guests don't get snowed in, as this isn't provided by the caravan park. We'd love to come back for another visit in the future!

Clean and comfortable . Hot tub could do with being undercover. Great place. Great location for the coast. Will be returning.

It turned out to be the shower attachment to the mixer tap had a leak so we could not use it. The hot tub was good but the area was dirty and the cover was very heavy and awkward to cope with, we are both in our 80s. A gate at the top of the access steps would be good when visitors like us had a dog. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Manderine Lodge and Northumberland.
