About this property

Felton 4 miles. Nestled in the lovely town of Morpeth near Felton, Northumberland discover this splendid single-storey lodge, 31 Long Dyke. Benefitting from all ground-floor accommodation, pet-friendly living, and a private decking with outdoor furniture, 31 Long Dyke welcomes four guests, ideal for a family or group or friends looking to explore this pretty location in Northumberland. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home, kicking back in the sitting area in front of the electric fire and TV, ideal for cosying up on cooler evenings. Allow your other half to rustle up a tasty dish in the suitably-equipped kitchen, before settling down at the dining table to tuck in, toasting to a wonderful getaway over a cold glass of fizz! If you prefer to bask in your surroundings a little longer, take advantage of a fabulous private decking area to enjoy alfresco mealtimes or an evening tipple as the sun sets in the distance. Wash away the day in the compact but sleek shower room before opting for either a double or twin bedroom, in preparation for another day of exciting adventures. If you can tear yourself away, spend the day at Northumberland Zoo, guaranteed to be a hit with the younger members of your group, it offers a variety of wildlife including snow leopards, lemurs, and birds. From your doorstep, you can also practice your swing at Burgham Park Golf and Leisure Club, or venture towards the coast where you can discover Druridge Bay Country Park, Woodhorn Museum, and Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum, in addition to a plethora of stunning beaches including East Chevington Bay Beach, Longhoughton Beach and Alnmouth Beach, perfect for building sandcastles, paddling the shores, or basking in the sun’s rays during warmer months. However you choose to fill your days here in Northumberland, do it from the superb base of 31 Long Dyke.

The delightful village of Felton is set in rural Northumberland, between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north. The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub and restaurant, and is just 10 miles from Alnwick, with its Castle and now famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the "Harry Potter" films! Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
